Espire ES1HLV Mains Powered Heat Alarm (10 Year Lithium Battery)

The Espire ES1HLV is a mains powered heat alarm with a sealed 10-year lithium backup battery, designed for fixed residential fire alarm installations. It is suitable for kitchens, garages and loft areas where a smoke alarm may be more susceptible to nuisance activations from cooking fumes, dust or steam.

Using A2 heat detection technology, the alarm activates at 58°C and is designed for Grade D1 domestic fire alarm systems. It is powered from a permanent 230V AC mains supply and includes a non-replaceable 3V lithium CR123A backup battery, helping maintain protection during a mains power interruption.

The ES1HLV produces an 85dB sounder output at 3 metres and includes green, yellow and red LED indicators for power, fault and fire status. Its auto-dimming power LED adjusts between day and night modes to reduce visual disturbance in low-light conditions, while the manual Test/Hush button checks the sensor, electronics and sounder during routine testing.

The alarm supports hard wired interconnection with up to 28 compatible Espire alarms over a maximum cable distance of 300 metres. Wireless or hybrid interconnection is also available when the optional ES1RF RF-Link Module is fitted, giving greater flexibility across new installations and retrofit projects.

Supplied with an anti-tamper lock-in wiring base, the ES1HLV is designed for ceiling mounting and is housed in white UL94-V0 rated UV stabilised ABS. It also includes a 24-hour alarm memory function and is covered by a 5-year warranty.
