Espire ES1CHLV Mains Powered Carbon Monoxide & Heat Multi-Sensor Alarm (10 Year Lithium Battery)

The Espire ES1CHLV is a mains powered carbon monoxide and heat multi-sensor alarm with a sealed 10-year lithium backup battery, designed for fixed residential installations.

Combining carbon monoxide detection with heat sensing in one device, it is suitable for fuel-burning areas and kitchen areas where both CO and heat risks need to be monitored.

Powered from a 230V AC mains supply, the ES1CHLV includes a non-replaceable 10-year lithium battery backup to maintain protection during mains power interruptions. It is designed for Grade D1 domestic alarm systems and is supplied with an anti-tamper lock-in wiring base for secure installation.

The alarm uses two sensor technologies: carbon monoxide detection and A2 heat detection with a 58°C activation temperature. It provides low, medium and high CO detection levels, with response times designed to act in accordance with BS EN 50291-1:2018. The alarm responds within 60-90 minutes at 50ppm, 10-40 minutes at 100ppm and less than 3 minutes at 300ppm.

Clear three-colour LED indication displays power, fault and fire/CO status, while the 85dB sounder provides an audible warning during alarm activation.

The auto-dimming power LED adjusts between day and night mode to reduce disturbance in low-light conditions, and the Test/Hush button allows the sensor, electronics and sounder to be checked during routine testing.

The ES1CHLV supports hard wired interconnection with up to 28 compatible Espire alarms over a maximum wiring distance of 300 metres. It also supports RF-Link interconnection when used with the optional ES1RF module, allowing wired, wireless or hybrid alarm system configurations.
