Espire ES1MODV Mains Powered Input Relay Base Supply With Backup Battery

The Espire ES1MODV is a mains powered hardwired interconnect input module designed to allow compatible third-party systems to trigger interconnected Espire alarms. It provides a practical way to integrate external equipment with an Espire domestic alarm system, enabling connected alarms to sound when the third-party device activates.

The module requires a volt-free, normally open contact from the connected third-party system. When this contact closes, the ES1MODV sends an activation signal through the hardwired interconnect circuit, causing the connected Espire alarms to sound. This makes it suitable for applications where an external system needs to initiate the alarm function across the property.

Powered from a 230V AC mains supply, the ES1MODV also includes a sealed, non-replaceable rechargeable lithium backup battery. This helps maintain operation during a mains power interruption, while the low standby power consumption supports efficient long-term use.

The module can be mounted on a ceiling or wall and may be used as a standalone input base with its cover fitted, or installed beneath a compatible Espire alarm. It supports hardwired interconnection over distances of up to 300 metres and can form part of a system containing up to 28 compatible interconnected Espire devices.

Housed in white UL94-V0 rated UV stabilised ABS, the ES1MODV is designed for fixed residential installations and is covered by a 5-year warranty. It should be permanently connected to the mains supply in line with the relevant wiring regulations.
