Espire ES1RB Mains Powered Relay Base With Backup Battery

The Espire ES1RB is a mains powered hardwired interconnect relay base designed to switch compatible third-party devices when an interconnected Espire alarm activates. It provides a practical interface between an Espire domestic alarm system and external equipment such as signalling devices, control inputs or other auxiliary systems.

Powered from a 230V AC mains supply, the ES1RB includes a sealed, non-replaceable rechargeable lithium backup battery. The battery can power the relay base for up to two months in standby, helping maintain operation during a mains power interruption.

The volt-free SPDT relay provides normally open, normally closed and common contacts, with a maximum switching capacity of 8A at 250V AC for resistive loads. Installers can select either continuous or pulsed relay operation. In pulsed mode, the relay switches for five seconds when an alarm condition is received before automatically returning to its previous state.

The ES1RB supports hardwired interconnection with compatible Espire alarms over a maximum distance of 300 metres. Up to 28 compatible interconnected devices can be used within the system. Multiple cable knockouts support surface and rear cable entry, while the relay base can be installed as a standalone unit using the supplied cover or mounted beneath a compatible Espire alarm.
