The Espire ES1RF RF-Link Module enables wireless interconnection across compatible Espire mains powered alarms with lithium battery backup.
Designed to recess neatly into compatible alarm heads, it allows supported Espire smoke, heat, multi-sensor and carbon monoxide alarms to communicate wirelessly without relying solely on hardwired interconnect cabling.
Operating on the 868.3MHz RF-Link frequency, the ES1RF provides an open-field wireless range of up to 100 metres and supports interconnected systems of up to 28 compatible wired and RF-Link devices. This makes it a practical option for domestic installations where additional wiring may be difficult, disruptive or unsuitable.
The module is compatible with Espire ES1SLV, ES1HLV, ES1MULV, ES1CLV and ES1CHLV alarms. It is intended for use with Espire mains powered alarms with lithium battery backup, enabling the RF-Link feature across the system.
In hybrid systems using both hardwired and RF-Link interconnected alarms, at least one hardwired alarm requires an ES1RF module to connect to the RF-Link section.
Once fitted, alarms can be RF coded so the system operates independently from other nearby Espire alarm systems.
The first alarm placed into RF coding mode is assigned as the primary alarm, with all other alarms assigned as secondary devices. After coding, each alarm should be tested to confirm that all interconnected alarms sound correctly.
