Espire ES1REMV Hardwired Remote Control Switch

The Espire ES1REMV is a mains powered hardwired remote controller for compatible Espire interconnected alarms. It provides accessible control of key alarm functions, allowing users to test the system, locate the source of an activation and hush suitable alarms from a single wall-mounted device.

Designed for fixed residential installations, the controller is suitable for use with compatible Espire smoke, heat and smoke-and-heat multi-sensor alarms. Three clearly labelled switches provide Alarm Test, Hush and Locate functions, making routine testing and alarm management easier without needing to access individual ceiling-mounted devices.

The Alarm Test function activates all interconnected alarms so their sounders and red LEDs can be checked. During an active alarm, the Locate function silences all other alarms so the device that triggered the activation can be identified. Where it is safe to do so, the Hush function can then silence the activated alarm for 10 minutes.

Powered from a permanent 230V AC mains supply, the ES1REMV supports hardwired interconnection over distances of up to 300 metres. A maximum of 28 compatible devices can be connected within the system, including the remote controller, and up to four ES1REMV units may be used on one system.

The controller is designed to fit a standard UK 1-gang mounting box and can be surface or flush mounted using the supplied back box. Its recommended accessible mounting height is between 750mm and 1200mm.
