The Apollo 55000-198APO AlarmSense A1R Heat Detector with sounder beacon base combines reliable heat detection with integrated audible and visual warning in a single unit.

This package includes the Apollo 55000-190 A1R Standard Heat Detector and the Apollo 45681-509 sounder beacon base, providing both rate-of-rise detection at approximately 12°C per minute and a fixed temperature response at 57°C. It is suitable for areas where smoke detection may not be appropriate, such as kitchens, workshops and dusty environments.

The integrated sounder beacon delivers a selectable output between 70 dB(A) and 87 dB(A), ensuring clear alarm signalling at the point of detection.

As part of the AlarmSense range, the unit connects to a two-wire system that allows detectors, sounders and call points to be installed on a single cable pair, reducing wiring complexity and simplifying installation.
