The Apollo 55000-392APO AlarmSense Optical Smoke Detector with sounder base combines reliable optical smoke detection with integrated audible warning in a single, space-saving unit.

This package includes the Apollo 55000-390 Optical Smoke Detector and the Apollo 45681-510 sounder base, delivering both detection and alarm signalling from one location. The optical detector operates using the light scatter principle and is particularly effective at detecting slow-burning and smouldering fires, making it suitable for bedrooms, corridors and escape routes.

The integrated sounder base provides selectable high and low volume settings, ensuring clear audible warning at the point of detection. It also supports AlarmSense priority and non-priority signal recognition for flexible system operation.

As part of the AlarmSense range, the unit connects to a two-wire circuit that allows detectors, sounders and call points to share a single cable pair, simplifying installation and reducing wiring costs.
