Kentec LD-WL8-TRH Wireless Lockdown Translator

The Kentec LD-WL8-TRH Wireless Lockdown Translator is the central control module for the Kentec Wireless Lockdown system. It communicates with the wireless lockdown devices on the system, monitors their status and controls the cause and effect between input and output devices.

The translator can support up to 126 radio field devices, including up to 16 input modules, 4 output modules and 106 voice annunciators with VADs. It is pre-configured with allocated addresses for each device type, helping simplify system setup and ensure the correct lockdown messages and outputs operate as intended.

When an input device is activated, such as a key switch or manual call point connected through the system, the LD-WL8-TRH receives the signal and controls the relevant lockdown response. This can include triggering voice annunciators to play the correct message or activating output modules to signal system status to other equipment.

The module uses bi-directional wireless communication, self-optimising wireless amplitude and frequency technology and adaptive radio signal processing. Two internal antennae are included to help reduce radio signal fade and support reliable wireless communication.

If connected to a Lockdown Indicator Panel, the LD-WL8-TRH is powered via the loop connection. Where a Lockdown Indicator Panel is not used, the translator requires a battery-backed power supply, such as the Kentec STX2401-C.
