Kentec LD-WL8-OV Wireless Lockdown Voice Annunciator & VAD

The Kentec LD-WL8-OV Wireless Lockdown Voice Annunciator & VAD is designed for use with Kentec wireless lockdown systems to provide both audible and visual notification during a lockdown event. It is compatible with Kentec Wireless Lockdown Translator and Expander modules and is allocated to a wireless translator address between 21 and 126.

When activated, the device plays clear voice messages relating to the lockdown condition and provides a flashing white visual indication. This helps reduce confusion with other alarm signals in the building by giving occupants a spoken instruction rather than relying on a generic sounder tone.

The LD-WL8-OV can store 3 configurable messages for different lockdown conditions: Lockdown initiated, Covert lockdown and Lockdown all clear. Only 1 message can be played at any one time, with all messages played at a maximum sound pressure level of 91dB(A) at 1m.

The annunciator is supplied with 3 default messages, but these can be customised where required. Message files must be in .wav format at 16KHz, 8 bit, with a maximum total message length of 32 seconds.

Wireless performance is supported by bi-directional communication, self-optimising wireless amplitude and frequency and adaptive radio signal processing. The device is monitored for communication, tamper and low battery voltage fault states, with primary and secondary batteries both monitored for low voltage conditions.
