Kentec LD-WL8-OUT Wireless Lockdown Single Output Module

The Kentec LD-WL8-OUT Wireless Lockdown Single Output Module is designed for use as part of a Kentec Wireless Lockdown Notification System. It provides a wireless single channel output that can be used to indicate to other equipment when a lockdown message is being played.

The module is compatible with the LD-WL8-TRH Lockdown Translator and LD-WL8-EXP Lockdown Expander modules. Each output module is allocated to a pre-configured address on the translator, allowing the system to signal which message is currently active.

Addresses 4, 5 and 6 are used for message playing status. Address 4 operates when message 1 is played, address 5 operates when message 2 is played and address 6 operates when message 3 is played.

The LD-WL8-OUT provides a switched voltage output to drive an auxiliary relay. Kentec recommends using it with the 10-2710WSR-S Identifire Auxiliary Relay, which provides a volt free changeover output rated at 5A @ 30V DC or 8A @ 230V AC. This output can then be used to signal message status to monitoring equipment or other connected systems.

The module is monitored for communication, tamper and low battery voltage fault states. It also includes an LED status indicator, which flashes red when the output is active in the default setting. The LED can be configured to show standby and fault indication if required, although this will reduce battery life.
