Astro Intumescent Fire Door Strip - Fire Seal (Single Blade)

Intumescent Fire & Smoke Seals are designed for use in fire door assemblies to help maintain fire compartmentation and limit the spread of smoke.

Each seal features a graphite-based intumescent core housed within a durable PVC sleeve, allowing it to be neatly fitted into door frame or door leaf rebates.

When exposed to heat, the intumescent material expands rapidly to seal the gap around the door, helping to prevent the passage of flames, smoke and hot gases.

Seals are available with or without integrated cold smoke protection, depending on the application. Versions with a smoke brush or blade provide additional resistance to cold smoke leakage, which is critical as smoke can spread faster and further than fire.

All seals are supplied with a self-adhesive backing for quick, secure installation on both new and existing fire doors.
