Astro Intumescent Fire Door Strip - Fire Only Seal

Astroflame intumescent fire and smoke seals are designed to improve the fire performance of door assemblies by closing the gap between the door leaf and frame.

Each seal features a graphite-based intumescent core housed within a robust PVC carrier, allowing it to be neatly installed into a rebated groove in either the door or the frame.

When exposed to heat, the intumescent material expands rapidly, closing the perimeter gap around the door and forming a protective barrier that restricts the spread of fire, smoke and hot gases.

For enhanced smoke control, the range is available with or without an integrated cold smoke seal.

Where fitted, the nylon pile provides a continuous smoke barrier under normal conditions, offering valuable protection as smoke can travel faster than flames.

All seals are supplied with self-adhesive backing to allow fast and straightforward installation on site.
