Astro X Series Intumescent Pipe Collar

Astro X Series CE Pipe Collars provide certified fire protection for plastic pipe penetrations in walls and floors. They are manufactured with graphite-based intumescent material that expands when exposed to heat, forming a strong fire-resistant seal around the pipe.

Designed for high expansion and pressure performance, the X Series CE Collar has been fire tested to EN 1366-3:2009 with classifications of EI120 and EI240 for pipe diameters up to 250 mm. With a slim 30 mm or 40 mm depth, it is suitable for areas where space is limited.

The collars can be installed on flexible or rigid walls, rigid floors, and alongside Astro Batt systems. They are approved for use with common plastic pipe materials such as PP, PE, PVC-U, ABS and SAN+PVC. Testing covers uncapped and capped pipe arrangements, including U/U, C/U, U/C and C/C setups.

When fitted around combustible pipes, the collar reinstates the fire resistance of the wall or floor by expanding to crush and seal the softened pipe during a fire. Each unit includes a steel outer casing with an internal intumescent lining that activates under heat to block flame and smoke spread.

Supplied ready to install, the collar wraps around the pipe at the soffit or on one or both sides of a wall penetration depending on the application.
