Espire ES1RF2 RF-Link Module (Battery Powered Alarms)

The Espire ES1RF2 is an RF-Link module designed to add wireless interconnection to compatible lithium battery powered Espire alarms. Once installed inside a supported alarm, it allows the device to communicate with other RF-Link enabled Espire alarms across the property.

The module is compatible with the Espire ES1SL smoke alarm, ES1HL heat alarm, ES1MUL smoke and heat multi-sensor alarm, ES1CHL carbon monoxide and heat alarm and ES1CL carbon monoxide alarm. It mounts directly into the recessed module compartment on the underside of the alarm, keeping the installation neat and self-contained.

Using 868.3MHz RF-Link communication, the ES1RF2 provides an open-field range of up to 100 metres and supports systems containing up to 28 compatible devices. When one interconnected alarm activates, the remaining linked alarms can also sound, helping improve warning coverage throughout the property.

The module includes its own sealed 10-year lithium battery. This reduces the additional power demand placed on the alarm’s internal battery and supports long-term wireless operation without routine battery replacement.

RF coding is completed through the compatible alarm, with one device assigned as the primary alarm and the remaining units added as secondary devices. Once paired, each alarm should be tested to confirm that the full interconnected system responds correctly.
