Espire ES1CL Battery Powered Carbon Monoxide Alarm (10 Year Lithium Battery)

The Espire ES1CL is a battery powered carbon monoxide alarm with a sealed 10-year lithium battery, designed for fixed residential installations. It provides CO detection for areas where carbon monoxide risk may be present, including fuel-burning areas, kitchen areas, living rooms, bedrooms and rooms with a flue running through them.

Powered by a non-replaceable 3V lithium CR17450 battery, the ES1CL provides long-term protection without the need for mains wiring. It is designed for Grade F1 domestic alarm systems and can be ceiling or wall mounted, giving flexibility when positioning the alarm in line with relevant installation guidance.

The alarm features carbon monoxide detection with low, medium and high CO detection levels. Its response times are designed to act in accordance with BS EN 50291-1:2018, with alarm response times of 60-90 minutes at 50ppm, 10-40 minutes at 100ppm and less than 3 minutes at 300ppm.

A clear 85dB sounder output at 3 metres provides audible warning during activation, while three LED indicators show power, fault and CO status. The manual Test/Hush button checks the sensor, electronics and sounder, supporting routine testing and temporary silencing where appropriate.

The ES1CL does not support wired interconnection but can be wirelessly interconnected with compatible Espire alarms using the optional ES1RF2 RF-Link Module. Up to 28 compatible alarms can be interconnected using RF-Link, helping improve alarm audibility across the property.
