Espire ES1HL Battery Powered Heat Alarm (10 Year Lithium Battery)

The Espire ES1HL is a battery powered heat alarm with a sealed 10-year lithium battery, designed for fixed residential fire alarm installations. It is suitable for kitchen areas, garages and loft spaces where a smoke alarm may be more prone to nuisance activations caused by cooking fumes, dust or steam.

Using A1 heat detection technology, the ES1HL activates at 58°C to provide warning of a significant rise in temperature. The alarm is designed for Grade F1 domestic systems and is powered by a non-replaceable 3V lithium CR17450 battery, removing the need for mains wiring or routine battery replacement during its stated service life.

The alarm produces an 85dB sounder output at 3 metres and includes clear red fire and yellow fault LED indication. A combined Test/Hush button checks the sensor, electronics and sounder, while also allowing the alarm to be temporarily silenced where appropriate. The 24-hour memory function helps identify an alarm that has previously activated.

The ES1HL does not support wired interconnection, but it can be wirelessly linked with compatible Espire alarms using the optional ES1RF2 RF-Link Module. Up to 28 compatible alarms can be interconnected, helping extend audible warning throughout the property.

Supplied with an anti-tamper lock-in base, the alarm is designed for ceiling mounting and is housed in a white UL94-V0 rated UV stabilised ABS enclosure. It is covered by a 5-year warranty and should be installed in line with the recommendations of BS 5839-6:2019.
