Envirograf HW01/F is a water-based fire retardant coating designed to provide long-term fire protection to a wide range of timber and wood-based substrates.
When correctly applied and sealed with a protective Top Sealer Coat, HW01/F delivers durable fire performance suitable for both internal and external use. Once sealed, the system can provide fire protection for the life of the top coat, with continued performance achieved through reapplication of the sealer at the end of its service cycle.
HW01/F is suitable for use on treated and untreated timber, as well as MDF, insulation board, plasterboard and other wood-derived products, including doors, flooring and furniture.
It is commonly used to upgrade existing wooden doors to achieve 30- or 60-minute fire resistance, removing the need for costly door replacement.
When used in conjunction with Envirograf primer, the coating can be applied directly over painted or varnished surfaces, avoiding the need for stripping back to bare wood.
The coating also provides UV protection for external timber surfaces, making it suitable for exposed environments as well as internal applications.
