The Astro PFP FR Pipe Wrap is designed to reinstate the fire resistance of compartment walls and floors where they are penetrated by plastic pipes, conduits or metal pipes with combustible insulation.
Suitable for use in drywall, masonry and concrete constructions, it provides a reliable fire stopping solution that helps maintain the integrity of fire-rated barriers.
Each wrap contains a graphite-based intumescent material that expands rapidly when exposed to heat. In the event of a fire, this expansion seals the opening created by softening plastic pipes or insulation, preventing the spread of fire and smoke.
The wrap is installed fully around the pipe or insulation and secured using an integrated self-adhesive tab, with the surrounding gap sealed using compatible fire stopping products such as Astro PFP FR EX Mortar or FR Boards.
Designed for plastic pipes up to Ø315mm with various wall thicknesses
Suitable for metal pipes with continuous combustible insulation
Compatible with conduit installations carrying cables
Graphite-based intumescent material for rapid expansion in fire
Fire resistance of up to 240 minutes (integrity and insulation)
Pre-formed sizes available for common pipe diameters
Tested and certified for U/U pipe end configurations
Certified for PVC-U, PVC-C, PE, LDPE, MDPE, HDPE, ABS, SAN+PVC and PP pipes
Suitable for internal applications
Simple installation using self-adhesive fixing
Compatible with Astro PFP FR Boards and EX Mortar for sealing
