Ajax Residence Line FireProtect 2 Wireless Sealed Battery Heat & CO Detector

The Ajax FireProtect 2 SB (Heat/CO) Jeweller is a wireless sealed battery heat and carbon monoxide detector combining temperature and CO monitoring within a single device. The SB version uses two sealed lithium batteries and provides up to 10 years of battery life, reducing the need for routine battery replacement during its operating life.

Heat detection is provided by two A1R-class thermistors positioned outside the enclosure to help eliminate detection delays. An alarm is activated when the temperature rises by 10°C within one minute or exceeds +64°C. For carbon monoxide detection, a built-in chemical sensor monitors CO levels for up to 10 years and provides a warning when the concentration reaches the dangerous level of 50 ppm, before the first signs of poisoning appear.

FireProtect 2 detectors can be interconnected so that a fire alarm is raised simultaneously across the system when one device detects a threat. Primary interconnection operates through an Ajax hub, while fallback detector-to-detector communication works in parallel. The built-in 85dB siren provides an audible warning, with LED indication used to show detector states.

Jeweller wireless technology provides communication with an Ajax hub over distances of up to 1,700 metres in open space, with up to twice the range possible when using a compatible range extender. Regular system polling, automatic self-diagnostics and instant maintenance notifications support ongoing supervision through Ajax apps.

Installation is simplified by the SmartBracket mounting panel, while QR code pairing enables remote control and configuration through the app.
