Ajax Residence Line FireProtect 2 Wireless Sealed Battery Smoke, Heat & CO Detector

The Ajax Residence Line FireProtect 2 SB (Heat/Smoke/CO) Jeweller is a wireless detector combining smoke, heat and carbon monoxide detection in a single unit. Designed for indoor use, it can operate as part of an Ajax system or independently without being paired with a hub.

The sealed lithium batteries provide up to 10 years of operation, removing the need for routine battery replacement during the detector's service life.

Smoke detection uses a dual-spectrum optical sensor with blue and infrared LEDs. By analysing particles at different wavelengths, the detector can distinguish smoke from common sources of unwanted alarms such as water vapour. Ajax's HazeFlow 2 algorithm provides additional filtering, while the smoke chamber is designed to resist dust, dirt and insect ingress.

Two thermistors provide heat detection and are positioned outside the enclosure for faster response. An alarm is triggered if the temperature exceeds +64°C or increases by more than 10°C within one minute. A built-in chemical CO sensor monitors for dangerous concentrations of carbon monoxide and has a stated service life of 10 years.

Jeweller radio technology provides two-way communication with a compatible Ajax hub or range extender over distances of up to 1,700 metres in open space.

When connected to a hub, interconnected fire alarms can activate the built-in sirens of all compatible fire detectors within 20 seconds. The integrated siren produces 85 dB at 3 metres, while LED indicators provide clear alarm, power and fault status information.

Installation is handled using the SmartBracket mounting panel, allowing the detector to be secured and aligned without opening the enclosure.
