Ajax Residence Line FireProtect 2 Wireless Sealed Battery CO Detector

The Ajax FireProtect 2 SB (CO) Jeweller is a wireless carbon monoxide detector with sealed batteries, designed to provide continuous CO monitoring without the need for mains power. The SB version is powered by two sealed lithium batteries and offers up to 10 years of battery life, helping reduce routine maintenance and battery replacement requirements.

Carbon monoxide detection is handled by a built-in chemical sensor that accurately monitors CO levels for up to 10 years. A warning is provided when the CO concentration reaches the dangerous level of 50 ppm, before the first signs of poisoning appear.

FireProtect 2 detectors can be interconnected so that alarms are raised simultaneously across the system when one device detects a threat. Primary interconnection operates through an Ajax hub, while fallback detector-to-detector communication works in parallel. If the hub receives an alarm, the primary interconnection activates the built-in sirens of the other detectors within 20 seconds. The fallback interconnection is activated by the initiating detector and can notify the remaining detectors within one minute.

Jeweller wireless communication provides a range of up to 1,700 metres in open space, with up to twice the range available when using a compatible range extender. The detector also supports regular device polling, automatic self-diagnostics, instant maintenance notifications, built-in 85dB sounder and LED status indication.

Installation is simplified by the SmartBracket mounting panel, while QR code pairing enables remote control and configuration through the Ajax app.
