The C-TEC LAP501/CA is a dedicated CAST addressable single-message lockdown and invacuation control panel designed for smaller, straightforward applications. Fully monitored and battery backed, it provides a central control point for a C-TEC CAST lockdown system and is designed for use with compatible CAST lockdown voice sounders, sounder VADs and lockdown call points.

When a CAST lockdown call point is activated, the panel broadcasts a full lockdown voice message through connected CAST lockdown voice sounders or sounder VADs, helping communicate that an immediate threat is present within the building. The system supports up to 255 addressable devices on its single loop, with a maximum loop length of 1km and loop output current of 450mA.

The LAP501/CA is ENVISION Enabled and compatible with C-TEC's cloud-based data management software, allowing incidents to be monitored either on or off site. It also provides two conventional sounder circuits, programmable auxiliary inputs and relays, a 24V auxiliary power output and comprehensive status indication via a two-line backlit display and 32 zonal LEDs.

The panel has been designed to help smaller venues prepare for the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, commonly known as Martyn's Law, which introduces public protection requirements including lockdown planning for certain premises and events.

Powered from a 230V AC mains supply, the panel supports two 12V 7Ah VRLA batteries connected in series for standby operation.
