C-TEC CA470B/LD CAST Blue Lockdown Manual Call Point
Code: FDS005/010

Code: FDS005/010
The C-TEC CA470B/LD is a blue CAST protocol lockdown manual call point designed to provide a clear means of manually signalling an incident that requires a lockdown procedure to be initiated. It is suitable for use with C-TEC XFP and ZFP CAST protocol addressable fire panels and is supplied for surface mounting.
A smooth-action resettable operating element provides the familiar feel of breaking glass without requiring replacement after activation. When operated, the integral red LED alarm ring illuminates steadily around the face of the call point, while the same indicator flashes during normal polling. The photoluminescent operating window is designed to remain visible for up to five minutes, helping the activation point remain identifiable following a loss of normal lighting.
An onboard short-circuit loop isolator is included to support loop integrity, with Loop IN and dual Loop OUT connections provided. The unit operates from 22 to 40V DC, drawing a typical quiescent current of 370µA and a typical alarm current of 5mA.
The CA470B/LD can form part of a wider lockdown strategy intended to support preparedness under the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, commonly known as Martyn’s Law, which introduces public protection requirements for certain premises and events, including appropriate lockdown procedures.
A reset and back box removal key and a ‘Not in Use’ label are supplied with the call point.
