Ajax Residence Line FireProtect 2 Wireless Mains Powered Smoke & Heat Detector

The Ajax FireProtect 2 AC (Heat/Smoke) Jeweller is a wireless mains powered smoke and heat detector designed to provide reliable fire detection with integrated smoke and temperature sensing. Powered by a 110–240 V~ mains supply, it also includes a sealed backup battery so the detector can continue operating during a power outage throughout its stated 10-year lifespan.

Smoke detection is provided by a dual-spectrum optical sensor working with the HazeFlow 2 software algorithm, which is designed to ignore water vapour and steam.

Its smoke chamber is dustproof, resistant to insects and does not require regular cleaning. Heat detection is handled by two A1R-class thermistors positioned outside the enclosure to help reduce detection delays. The detector raises an alarm if the temperature increases by 10°C within one minute or exceeds +64°C.

FireProtect 2 AC supports enhanced wireless interconnection between compatible AC detectors. Primary interconnection operates via an Ajax hub, while a fallback detector-to-detector connection provides additional resilience if communication with the hub is lost. Jeweller wireless technology provides a communication range of up to 1,700 metres in open space, with support for extended range using a compatible range extender.

Installation is assisted by the SmartBracket mounting panel, removable WAGO 221 connectors and QR code pairing. The detector also supports automatic self-diagnostics, regular system polling, instant maintenance notifications and app-based remote control and configuration.
