Ajax Residence Line FireProtect 2 Wireless Mains Powered CO Detector

The Ajax FireProtect 2 AC (CO) Jeweller is a wireless mains-powered carbon monoxide detector designed to provide continuous CO monitoring as part of an Ajax fire safety system. Powered from a mains supply, it also incorporates a sealed backup battery so detection remains active during a power outage throughout its stated 10-year lifespan.

The detector warns when carbon monoxide concentration reaches the dangerous level of 50 ppm, providing an early indication before the first signs of poisoning occur. Its CO sensor is designed to accurately detect carbon monoxide levels for up to 10 years.

FireProtect 2 AC supports enhanced wireless interconnection between compatible AC detectors. Primary alarm interconnection operates through an Ajax hub, while detector-to-detector fallback interconnection provides an additional route if communication with the hub is lost. When an alarm occurs, interconnected detectors can activate their built-in 85 dB sirens, while system information remains available through Ajax apps when connected to the hub.

Jeweller radio communication provides a wireless range of up to 1,500 metres in open space, helping support flexible installation across larger properties. Regular system polling, automatic self-diagnostics and instant maintenance notifications help maintain visibility of detector status.

The detector is available in black or white and complies with EN 50291-1:2018, BS 5839 (part 6, grade D1) and BSI Kitemark Carbon Monoxide Alarms KM 797661.
