WindowMaster WMU Chain Actuator | WMU 836

The WindowMaster WMU 836 is a 24V DC chain actuator designed for surface-mounted operation of windows used for natural ventilation and smoke ventilation. Suitable for top-hung, bottom-hung, pivot and turning windows, it combines a 300N traction force with a compact anodised aluminium housing and stainless steel chain. Available chain strokes are 400mm, 600mm, 800mm and 1000mm.

The actuator can be connected to standard ±24V DC control units or WindowMaster control units featuring MotorLink®. With a MotorLink® control unit, the WMU 836 supports genuine position feedback and three operating speeds. These include a slow, almost silent automatic control speed, a faster manual control speed and a high-speed H&S and safety control mode. When operated at 4.5mm/s, the actuator has a sound pressure level of no more than 30dBA.

Single, double, triple and quad actuator versions are available. Synchronised versions allow up to four actuators to communicate directly with one another, maintaining the same operating speed and position without requiring an external synchronisation module. This makes the WMU 836 suitable for larger window arrangements requiring multiple actuators.

Additional functions include soft close, electronic load switch-off/end stop and an integrated reverse function designed to help prolong the life of window gaskets. The actuator is suitable for comfort ventilation and smoke ventilation applications, with selected versions approved to EN 12101-2 when used with approved profiles. The 1000mm stroke version is not supplied as an EN 12101-2 approved actuator.
