Ajax Residence Line FireProtect 2 Wireless Mains Powered Heat & CO Detector

The Ajax Residence Line FireProtect 2 AC (Heat/CO) Jeweller is a wireless mains-powered fire detector designed to provide heat and carbon monoxide detection within an Ajax system. Powered from a mains supply, it also incorporates a sealed backup battery so protection can continue during a power outage.

Fire detection is handled by two A1R-class thermistors positioned outside the enclosure to minimise detection delays. The detector raises an alarm if the temperature increases by 10°C within one minute or exceeds +64°C. Its integrated CO sensor monitors carbon monoxide levels for up to 10 years and provides a warning when the concentration reaches the dangerous level of 50 ppm.

Jeweller wireless communication provides a range of up to 1,700 metres in open space. FireProtect 2 AC detectors can use primary interconnection through an Ajax hub, while detector-to-detector fallback interconnection provides additional resilience if communication with the hub is lost. Alarm information, including the initiating detector location, alarm type and exact time, is available through Ajax apps.

Installation is supported by the SmartBracket mounting panel and removable WAGO 221 connectors, allowing wiring to be secured without a screwdriver. The detector also features automatic self-diagnosis, system status reporting, LED indication and a built-in 85 dB siren.

FireProtect 2 AC (Heat/CO) complies with EN 50291-1:2018, BS 5839 (part 6, grade D1) and BS 5446-2:2003, with BSI Kitemark certification for its carbon monoxide and heat alarm functions.
