Ajax Baseline NVR H2D

The Ajax Baseline NVR H2D series provides network video recording for Ajax video devices and compatible third-party IP cameras, with support for up to 16 channels, 4K HDMI output and two hot-swappable hard drives. Designed for continuous video surveillance, the range allows installed HDDs to be replaced without shutting down the recorder, helping maintain recording during maintenance.

Five versions are available, covering 8-channel and 16-channel installations with configurations offering no PoE, 8 PoE ports or 16 PoE ports. PoE-equipped models can connect and power compatible IP cameras directly from the recorder, while Gigabit Ethernet provides network connectivity. The NVR supports H.265 and H.264 decoding with incoming and outgoing bandwidth of up to 160Mbps.

Two recording modes provide additional flexibility for storage management. Redundancy mode duplicates footage across both drives for backup, while split mode records footage alternately in equal segments across both HDDs to optimise available storage capacity and balance drive load. The recorder accommodates two 3.5-inch SATA hard drives with up to 16TB capacity. HDDs are not included.

Video can be managed locally using the built-in Ajax video management system, including archive access, customisable video walls and slideshow mode. A 4K HDMI connection supports direct display output, while three USB 2.0 Type-A ports can be used for interface devices such as a mouse or keyboard. Remote video management is also available through Ajax apps, with JetSparrow technology supporting encrypted video streaming and archive navigation.

The NVR H2D series supports ONVIF Profile G and S, RTSP, automatic camera discovery on the local network, configurable motion detection zones and visual verification of Ajax system alarms.
