Paxton 333-210 Compact Proximity Reader - P38

The Paxton 333-210 Compact Proximity Reader P38 is a standalone RFID access control reader designed for lower security internal and external doors where restricted access is required. Combining the reader and control unit in a single compact device, it provides contactless authentication without requiring a PC for system setup.

Users gain access by presenting a compatible token within close proximity of the reader. Clear visual and audible feedback confirms each access attempt. By default, all three LEDs are illuminated, with the green LED flashing when access is granted and the red LED flashing when access is denied. An audible tone is also emitted for both outcomes.

The P38 supports up to 5,000 tokens or users using 100-card packs and provides an adjustable door open time from 1 to 60 seconds. It also features an exit button input, silent operation and data retention for more than 10 years during a total power loss.

Designed for 11V to 14V DC operation, the reader provides a 12V DC lock output rated at 750mA at 12V. Its IPX7 moisture resistance and operating temperature range of -20°C to +55°C support installation in a range of indoor and external environments. The reader is supplied with a choice of black or white covers or bezels.
