Hochiki CSB-E Conventional Sounder Base (Ivory)

The Hochiki CSB‑E Conventional Sounder Base is a platform-style sounder designed to work with detectors from the Hochiki CDX Range of Detectors, providing an efficient and space-saving audible alarm solution for conventional fire detection systems. By combining a detector and sounder at the same point, the CSB-E simplifies installation while ensuring effective alarm notification throughout a building.

Featuring improved electronics, the CSB-E delivers high sound output with very low current consumption, making it suitable for systems where power efficiency is important. The unit offers 32 user-selectable tones and three volume levels (Low, Medium and High), allowing installers to tailor the alarm sound to suit different environments and system requirements.

Configuration is straightforward thanks to DIL switches, which allow quick selection of tone and output level during installation. The sounder can produce a maximum output of 93 dB(A) at 1 metre (Tone 1), ensuring clear and effective alarm signalling in commercial and public environments.

Designed with durability and practicality in mind, the CSB-E features a robust construction and an easy installation process. It is compatible with several detector bases, including the YBN-R/6, YBO-R/6PA, YBO-R/6R, YBO-R/6RN, YBO-R/6RS and YBN-R/6SK, offering flexibility when integrating with existing systems. A lockable cap option is also available to help prevent unauthorised removal.

The unit is approved to EN54 Part 3, confirming compliance with recognised European standards for fire alarm sounders.
