Pepperl-Fuchs KCD0-SD3-EX1.1045 Galvanic Isolator - Single Channel - Eex

The Pepperl+Fuchs KCD0-SD3-Ex1.1045 is a single-channel solenoid driver and galvanically isolated barrier designed for intrinsic safety applications in hazardous areas.

It is used to supply power to solenoids, LEDs and audible alarms installed in Zone 0, 1 and 2 environments, while maintaining safe electrical isolation from the control side.

The device is loop powered, drawing its operating energy directly from the input signal. This design simplifies installation and reduces the need for additional power supplies, making it suitable for compact control panels and DIN-rail mounted systems. At full load, the unit provides up to 10 V at 45 mA to the hazardous area.

With test pulse immunity, SIL 3 capability and comprehensive ATEX and IECEx approvals, the KCD0-SD3-Ex1.1045 is well suited to safety-critical industrial applications where reliable switching of intrinsically safe outputs is required.
