Intumescent Acoustic Downlighter Cover

Intumescent Covers for Downlighters are fire-rated, intumescent-lined woven glass fabric covers designed to help maintain the fire integrity of ceilings where recessed lights are installed.

Fitted above or below the ceiling in plasterboard or suspended ceiling applications, the cover forms a protective barrier around the cut-out and reduces the risk of fire and smoke travelling through the void.

In a fire, the intumescent material expands to seal gaps and help slow fire spread, supporting compartmentation and giving occupants more time to evacuate.

Available in multiple sizes to suit different downlight fittings, with an acoustic version also available where sound performance is required.

Tested to BS476 Parts 22 and 23 (Clause 5) (1987), achieving up to 240 minutes integrity.
