The Apollo 55000-390APO AlarmSense Optical Smoke Detector is designed to provide reliable detection of slow-burning and smouldering fires in conventional two-wire systems.

Using the light scatter principle, the detector identifies smoke entering the sensing chamber and switches to alarm when a pre-set threshold is reached. This makes it particularly well suited to bedrooms, corridors and escape routes where early warning of smouldering fires is essential.

As part of the AlarmSense range, the detector operates on a two-wire system that allows detectors, sounders and call points to be connected on a single cable pair. This simplifies installation, reduces wiring time and lowers overall system costs.

A high-visibility 360° LED indicator provides clear visual confirmation of alarm status. The base is supplied separately.
