Apollo 55000-316APO Series 65 Optical Smoke Detector (Flashing LED)
Code: FDS100/677
INC VAT
Code: FDS100/677
The Apollo 55000-316APO Series 65 Optical Smoke Detector is a conventional detector designed to respond well to slow-burning, smouldering fires.
It incorporates a flashing LED within the detector housing, which provides a clear visual indication in alarm while remaining less prominent in normal conditions.
Operating on the light scatter principle, the detector uses a pulsing LED and photo-diode arrangement to identify smoke entering the chamber.
In clear air, the LED emits modulated light every three seconds, which does not reach the photo-diode.
When smoke enters the chamber, the light is scattered onto the photo-diode and the detector goes into alarm once the threshold is reached.
The detector features a self-extinguishing white polycarbonate case with wind-resistant smoke inlets.
Inside, a printed circuit board holds the optical system on one side and the signal processing electronics on the other.
An external indicator can be connected when operated in line and remote indicator mode.
The Apollo 55000-316APO is well suited to bedrooms and escape routes, and is unaffected by wind or atmospheric pressure.
It operates over a temperature range of -20°C to +60°C.
