Apollo 55000-020APO Intelligent IR³ Flame Detector
Code: FDS002/511
INC VAT
Code: FDS002/511
The Apollo 55000-020APO Intelligent IR3 Flame Detector is designed to provide fast, reliable protection in environments where open flames may occur, making it ideal for high-risk and industrial applications.
Using advanced Triple Infrared (IR3) technology, the detector senses low-frequency, flickering infrared radiation emitted during combustion, including flames that may be invisible to the naked eye such as hydrogen fires.
The detector combines three IR sensors operating at different wavelengths to accurately distinguish real fire conditions from false alarm sources such as flickering sunlight. This advanced signal processing ensures dependable detection while reducing unwanted activations.
Highly resilient in demanding environments, the detector remains effective even when its lens is partially obscured by contaminants such as oil, dust, water vapour or ice, maintaining reliable performance where other detection methods may struggle.
Fast and responsive, it is capable of detecting flames at distances of over 25 metres and is unaffected by environmental factors such as draughts, convection currents or false stimuli including fumes, steam, dust and mist.
Loop-powered for simplified installation, the detector requires no external power supply and supports remote LED alarm indicators. Fully compatible with Apollo XP95 and Discovery protocols, it integrates easily into existing addressable fire detection systems.
