Code: FDS002/515
The Apollo 55000-024APO Intelligent Base Mounted IR³ Flame Detector delivers fast and dependable flame detection across a wide range of indoor environments, including areas affected by smoke, dust or airborne contaminants.
Using triple infrared (IR³) sensing technology, the detector monitors multiple IR wavelengths to identify the characteristic low-frequency flicker of flames between 0.75–2.7μm at 1–15Hz. This enables reliable detection of hydrocarbon and hydrogen fires, including those that may be invisible to the naked eye, while effectively filtering out non-fire radiation to reduce unwanted alarms.
Its advanced signal processing and flicker discrimination technology allow continued performance even where the optical window is exposed to oil, dust, water vapour or ice. This makes it suitable for demanding industrial and commercial settings where environmental conditions may compromise standard detection devices.
The detector is loop-powered, removing the need for an external power supply, and supports remote LED alarm indication. Designed for applications requiring rapid response at distances beyond 25 metres, it performs reliably in areas with airflow, steam, vapours or mist. The unit is fully compatible with Apollo XP95 and Discovery protocol control panels.
