Ajax FireProtect Jeweller EN54 Wireless Addressable VAD

The Ajax FireProtect Jeweller EN54 VAD is a wireless visual alarm device designed to provide clear visual fire alarm indication as part of compatible Ajax EN54 wireless fire alarm systems.

Purpose-built for professional fire alarm applications, this wireless VAD is ideal for environments where visual alarm notification is required to support occupant awareness, accessibility requirements or enhanced alarm signalling coverage. Its wireless design makes it particularly suitable for refurbishment projects, commercial premises and installations where traditional cabling would be disruptive or impractical.

The device uses a high-visibility LED frame to provide visual alarm indication, delivering a flash sequence of 90ms ON and 1,910ms OFF, with a cycle duration of 2,000ms and frequency of 0.5Hz. Coverage is clearly defined for compliant installation planning, with an 8m coverage diameter when ceiling mounted at 3m installation height, or a coverage volume of 2.4m x 8.2m x 8.2m when wall mounted at 2.4m.

Powered by Ajax Jeweller wireless communication technology, the VAD supports communication ranges of up to 1,700 metres in open space with compatible control equipment, helping maintain reliable connectivity across larger wireless fire alarm systems. Fast alarm activation, QR code setup, remote app-based configuration and SmartBracket mounting all contribute to efficient installation and ongoing maintenance.

With up to 5 years of battery life from pre-installed batteries and tool-free battery replacement, the device is designed to reduce service disruption and maintenance time.

Compliant with EN 54-23 and EN 54-25, alongside BOSEC certification, the Ajax FireProtect Jeweller VAD is designed for recognised professional fire alarm applications.
