Zeta MKII-SSB Fyreye Addressable Sandwich Sounder Base
Code: FDS003/030

Code: FDS003/030
The Zeta MKII-SSB Fyreye Addressable Sandwich Sounder Base is a loop-powered platform sounder designed for use with Zeta Fyreye MkII addressable fire alarm systems, providing local audible alarm notification without the need for separate sounder wiring.
Designed to sit between a compatible detector base and Fyreye MkII addressable detector, the sandwich sounder provides a practical solution where local alarm indication is required while maintaining a cleaner installation layout. Because loop cables terminate at the detector base, installation remains straightforward without introducing additional cabling complexity.
The MKII-SSB can be triggered individually via the connected detector’s remote LED output, allowing selective local sounder activation, or via the protocol’s common sounder group command. This means the sounder can still be activated even if the detector has been removed, offering additional system resilience.
The sounder does not require separate addressing, simplifying commissioning and reducing setup time for installers. Alarm tone selection is configurable at the control panel, with 16 available tones to suit different site requirements and alarm signalling strategies.
With sound output up to approximately 85dB, depending on selected tone, the MKII-SSB provides clear local audible warning for compatible addressable fire alarm installations. The unit is secured with a grub screw to help prevent unauthorised removal once installed.
