The Paxton 385-710 Net2 I/O Board with Plastic Housing provides additional input and output control within a Net2 access control system. Designed to operate alongside Net2 door controllers, it can be used to monitor and control connected electrical equipment such as lighting, heating, water and air conditioning through the triggers and actions functionality in Net2 software.
The board provides four inputs and four outputs, allowing external devices and systems to be monitored or switched according to programmed events. Actions can be scheduled for specific times or triggered in response to selected Net2 events, giving the system greater flexibility for building control and energy management applications.
Network communication is handled directly over TCP/IP using the onboard RJ45 Ethernet connection. This allows I/O boards to be distributed around a building as required without relying on RS485 or wireless communication. The unit supports 100Mbit/s Ethernet with auto MDIX and DHCP, although a fixed IP address is recommended. Up to 200 Ethernet devices can be supported across the Net2 system, including Net2 Plus controllers and I/O boards.
The 385-710 version is supplied with a plastic housing and operates from 10V to 24V DC. Each relay is rated at 15A with 240V AC contact voltage and 4kV AC isolation. The unit is intended for protected environments and has no moisture resistance, so external installations require a suitable weatherproof enclosure.
