Hochiki CHQ-SOM Single Output Module

The Hochiki CHQ-SOM Single Output Module is a compact and reliable interface device designed to provide a single monitored relay output on Hochiki ESP addressable fire detection loops. Engineered for seamless integration within ESP systems, the CHQ-SOM enables external equipment such as sounders, door releases, plant shutdown systems, or other auxiliary devices to be controlled directly from the fire alarm loop.

The module incorporates a volt-free relay contact that can be configured as either normally open (N/O) or normally closed (N/C), offering flexible integration with a wide range of third-party equipment. The relay contact is rated at up to 30 V DC (maximum) with a 1 A resistive load, ensuring dependable switching performance in fire system applications.

Designed with ease of installation in mind, the CHQ-SOM features three colour-coded flying leads to simplify field wiring, alongside a dedicated wiring terminal block for connection to the ESP loop. Its compact form factor allows it to be conveniently installed within equipment housings, control panels, or electrical enclosures where a monitored output is required.

Addressing of the device is achieved quickly and easily using the Hochiki TCH-B100 Hand Held Programmer, enabling straightforward system configuration and maintenance. The CHQ-SOM is also LPCB approved, providing assurance that it meets recognised industry standards for fire detection and alarm system components.
