Overview Features Technical Data

The VALKYRIE-AS is a wall-mounted addressable sounder/beacon designed for low power consumption. Up to 32 individually addressed units can be installed on a single loop, using addresses 94 to 125. Addressing is set via switches 1 to 5 on the 8-way DIL switch, while four selectable tones are configured using switches 6 and 7.

When individual address reporting is not required, the VALKYRIE-AS can be configured as a Shadow Sounder. In this mode, the device does not occupy a loop address, allowing additional detection devices to be added. Shadow sounders do not report their status to the control panel, meaning their presence on the loop is not monitored.

Although unaddressed, Shadow sounders draw current from the loop (10 mA in alarm) and must be included in loop load calculations.
