The Eaton Flexi Multimode Detector with Standard Base combines the reliable Eaton FXN922 Photo-Thermal Multi-Mode Detector with Eaton’s standard conventional mounting base.

This unit provides flexible, high-performance fire detection using both optical smoke sensing and heat measurement, making it suitable for a wide range of commercial and residential environments.

The FXN922 is designed to operate in multiple selectable modes, including smoke, heat, and combined photo-thermal detection. This gives installers the freedom to match the detection profile to the risk, improving response to both slow-smouldering and fast-flaming fires while helping reduce false activations.

Mounted on the standard FXN520-series base, this detector is intended for use on Eaton conventional and Eaton Bi-Wire Flexi systems. When used on a Bi-Wire Flexi panel, the unit functions as a detection point only, with sounders installed on separate sounder bases or combined sounder-detectors elsewhere on the system.

It offers a practical, cost-effective alternative to the Fike 204-0001 Multipoint for installations not requiring an integrated sounder.
