Deafgard Wireless Pillow Vibration Unit

Deafgard is a portable emergency alerting device designed for deaf and hard-of-hearing people. It provides both a vibrating alert and a flashing light, helping to wake the user when it detects the sound of an alarm. Its acoustic trigger allows Deafgard to respond to an audible alarm without requiring a direct wired connection to the alarm system.

Designed for portable use, Deafgard combines a vibration pad with a visual flashing alert to provide alternative warning methods for people who may not hear an audible alarm while sleeping. The unit is powered by a rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery, with an expected battery life of 2–3 days between charges.

Charging is provided through a USB-C input rated at 5V, 1A and 5W. The casing is manufactured from ABS and the complete unit weighs approximately 600g, making it practical to position where required.

Deafgard is available in two supplied configurations: part number 601-8527 with a UK charger and part number 142-6572 with a USB-C cable. The product is CE marked and stated as compliant with the EMC Directive.
