Dahua AirShield Smart Alarm Wireless Dual-Tech Detector

The Dahua DHI-ARD2231-W2 Wireless Dual-Tech Detector is an indoor motion detector designed for use with compatible Dahua AirShield smart alarm systems. It combines passive infrared and microwave detection technologies to identify human movement within the protected area, helping reduce false activations caused by thermal interference.

With a detection range of up to 12m at a 90° angle when installed at a height of 2.2m, the detector is suitable for monitoring rooms, corridors and internal areas where reliable movement detection is required.

The 3-level sensitivity adjustment allows the device to be configured to suit the environment, while automatic temperature compensation helps maintain detection performance in changing indoor conditions.

The detector also includes a pet immunity function for animals up to 18kg and under 50cm in height, making it suitable for domestic and light commercial environments where pets may be present. It can display the surrounding temperature and supports an overheating alarm, adding useful environmental awareness alongside motion detection.

Wireless communication is supported by two-way communication, AES128 encryption and frequency hopping technology to help maintain stable and secure connectivity. The detector also supports jamming detection, tamper detection, low-battery detection and cloud update, helping support ongoing system reliability.

Powered by a single CR123A battery, the DHI-ARD2231-W2 offers a battery life of up to 3 years based on 10 triggers per day with 70% battery efficiency. It can be wall mounted as standard, or ceiling mounted when used with the ARA33 bracket.
