C-TEC SigTEL EVC302S Refuge Alarm Outstation (Stainless Surface Mount, Type B)

The C-TEC EVC302S is a surface-mounted Type B disabled refuge outstation designed for use with C-TEC SigTEL disabled refuge and emergency voice communication systems. Finished in high-quality brushed stainless steel, it provides a durable, professional communication point for refuge areas.

The outstation allows a person in a disabled refuge area to communicate with a compatible SigTEL Master Controller at the touch of a button, with communication also possible from the controller back to the outstation. It offers true duplex speech and incorporates a ‘Push to Call or Answer’ button, red ‘Call in Progress’ LED, buzzer, microphone and loudspeaker for straightforward operation.

The EVC302S is powered from a compatible SigTEL Master Controller, with an operating voltage of 11V DC that drops to 6V DC when the intercom is in use. An internal loudspeaker volume control is provided for adjustment, together with engineer ‘On Hook’ and ‘Off Hook’ pins.

Additional connections allow the outstation to be integrated with optional supporting equipment. AFILS +Ve and -Ve connections can be connected to the line-level input of an optional induction loop amplifier. A general-purpose opto-isolated open collector output closes when the outstation is active and can typically be used to trigger third-party equipment such as a CCTV camera. Off-Hook and -Ve connections can also be used with an NC951 accessible toilet alarm kit.

Measuring 160 W x 240 H x 53 D mm, the EVC302S has an IP20 rating and facilitates compliance with BS 5839-9 when correctly installed.
