Code: FDS372/141
The C-TEC ECU-16 SigTEL 16 Line Master Controller is a wall-mounted emergency voice communication system controller designed for disabled refuge, fire telephone and stadium marshalling applications. Providing 16 extension lines, it allows an operator to communicate with connected Type A fire telephone outstations, Type B disabled refuge outstations or compatible disabled persons toilet alarm interfaces.
The ECU-16 incorporates a semi-recessed handset, keypad and 128 x 64 pixel LCD display for clear system operation and status indication. An automatic configuration facility assists with system set-up, while dedicated indicators provide at-a-glance information for disablement, system fault, PSU fault, general fault and power status. Line monitoring detects open and short circuit faults once the system has been configured.
For larger installations, the controller can form part of a networked SigTEL Compact system. With suitable ECU722 or ECU723 Network Comms Cards, up to 14 MCU/LCU wall units can be connected, allowing systems of up to 224 extensions to be created. An optional ECU-224 Desk Control Unit can also be incorporated when an ECU723 network card is fitted.
The metal enclosure can be surface mounted or semi-flush mounted using the optional EVC385 bezel. When correctly installed, the ECU-16 facilitates compliance with BS 5839-9. Battery backup using two 12V 7Ah VRLA batteries can maintain operation for up to 24 hours in standby followed by 3 hours in use.
