Astro Fire Rated Putty Cord is a non-setting, silicone-based fire and acoustic sealant designed for sealing small service penetrations. Supplied in a ready-to-use cord format, it is hand workable, reusable and ideal where access is restricted or maintaining seal depth is difficult.
The putty cord is designed to seal gaps from 0–10mm around cables and other service penetrations, helping to maintain fire compartmentation and reduce the passage of cold and hot smoke. Its non-hardening properties allow for future maintenance and re-servicing without compromising performance.
Suitable for internal use, it offers up to 90 minutes fire resistance in solid walls and drywalls (tested to EN 1366-3:2004 and BS EN 1364-1), along with excellent acoustic performance.
