Astro DBSM Surface Mounted 37dB< Drop Down Smoke Seal 930mm

The Astro DBSM Surface Mounted Drop Down Smoke Seal (930mm) provides a simple and effective solution for preventing smoke, draughts and sound from passing through the gap at the bottom of a fire door.

Designed for quick installation, this surface-mounted seal is ideal for retrofit applications as it requires no routing or rebating. It is suitable for gaps of up to 14mm, helping maintain fire door performance with minimal disruption.

When the door is closed, an internal plunger mechanism activates as it contacts the door frame, lowering the PVC seal to close the gap beneath the door. The unit operates using a graduated scissor action, ensuring the seal drops evenly and effectively across the full width of the door.

This product forms part of a wider passive fire protection approach and can be used alongside other intumescent products to help maintain compartmentation and improve fire and smoke resistance across a building.

Constructed from lightweight satin anodised aluminium, the seal offers durability while maintaining a clean, unobtrusive finish suitable for a range of environments.
