Apollo 55000-127APO Series 65 BR Heat Detector 75°C with Diode Base

The Apollo 55000-127APO Series 65 BR Heat Detector is a conventional rate-of-rise heat detector supplied with a diode base, making it suitable for systems where manual call points and detector bases are wired on the same circuit.

This detector is part of the Apollo Series 65 range, so it’s a straightforward match if you are standardising on Series 65 devices across a conventional system.

Designed for areas where smoke detection is likely to cause unwanted alarms, it’s a solid choice for kitchens, plant rooms, workshops and other environments that are dusty, steamy or subject to fumes under normal conditions.

The detector uses a dual thermistor network and will signal an alarm on either a rapid rise in temperature or when a fixed threshold is reached. It is set to respond to sudden increases of around 12–15°C per minute and has a fixed upper temperature limit of 75°C.

A flashing LED provides local status indication, and the diode base helps maintain circuit operation where required by the control equipment and site wiring method.
